Like most social media platforms, building a following for your business on Instagram is a bit of an uphill climb.
If your business isn’t in the arts, music, food, apparel or sports industries, it probably isn’t very easy to create a regular stream of Instagram-worthy posts.
This is where Instagram advertising comes into play.

Instagram offers five ad formats:
1. Stories ads
2. Photo ads
3. Video ads
4. Carousel ads
5. Collection ads
Each of these ad formats are woven into users’ Feeds and Stories offering a non-disruptive user experience.
Instagram also offers different types of call-to-actions that can help you collect more leads. We’ll include these in the description of the ad formats.
1. To select Instagram as a placement for your ads:
2. Go to Ads Manager.
3. Select Create.
4. Choose an objective that supports Instagram as an ad placement.
5. Select Continue.
6. Fill in the details for your ad set.
7. At the placements section, you can select Edit placements and select Instagram to have your ads appear on Instagram.
If you select automatic placements, your ad will run across a variety of Facebook placements, including Instagram to give you the best value for your ads.
8. Select Continue.
